Phil Naden & Christine Corby
CEO Phil Naden, and Chairperson of AH&MRC and CEO of Walgett Aboriginal Health Service, Christine Corby, attended Canberra today for a round table discussion in relation to operational accreditation.
The forum focused on presentations by ACCHOs around Australia on what is best practice and it also provided discussion about the costs benefits and smoothest ways to obtain organisational accreditation.
This forum was timely as our own internal staff, Karen Harding and Rose Gordon have ensured that BAHS have met all requirements in relation to accreditation.
BAHS received fantastic news today, that we are an organisation fit for purpose and we have achieved both clinical and operational accreditation. "This is really great news"
This combined effort is an acknowledgment of the fantastic combined effort of the CEO, Manager for Corporate Services Karen Harding and Health Manager Rose Gordon.
CEO Phil Naden states, that this combined effort was a team contribution to the accreditation process, however Karen Harding and Rose Gordon need to be acknowledged as the leaders in this process.
It must be noted that due to BAHS achieving this standard of accreditation, BAHS are now in a secure position to become competitive for future funding around service provision as well as maintaining credibility with Government Departments.
